Beginner Rules
1) Nintendo Wars is a text-based forum game revolving around armies based on games from Nintendo systems. You build up your army over time and engage in battles written by moderators according to plans from the warring sides. Your army is set in bases, locations where all your units are stationed and battles occur.
2) One real-life day equals four in-game days. Projects are what you do to gain or improve units in your army, with near limitless possibilities for your projects to do. Keep in mind that projects cannot exceed 100 days in length, with length determining how strong the result is. You work on four projects at a time.
2a) To help mass-produce semi-powerful units are factories, additional lines that can create only war machines or base defenses. (See rule 3a) You gain a new factory line every 30,000 civilians, non-combative units whose only purpose are to work the factories. You gain 2,000 civilians every real-life day.
3) What you use in your army can be virtually anything. The main force in your army lies in your troops, mass amounts of grunts you can improve, as well as create new types of units to recruit. You gain 2,000 troops every real-life day, the maximum troops you can have at one time being 150,000.
3a) Your next most powerful units are war machines, strong units (though not necessarily mechanical) such as battleships or tanks. You can also build base defenses, which are solitary additions to your base that help defend it.
3b) Unlike the other units, Artifacts are objects that can have any number of effects, from being powerful armor to a book that conjures rain.
3c) Your most powerful unit is a hero, a single person with numerous abilities you can add and improve that are marginally stronger than the other units. These are recruited through 100 day projects or a quest, a story in which must have 10 logs. See the regular rules for more details regarding this.
4) More powerful versions of these units are Uber Units, strong troops approximately five times the strength of a regular troop. You may recruit these for a 30 day project, and cannot have more than 10,000 at a time.
4a) The most powerful unit your army can make is an Uber War Machine, ranging from gigantic robots to god-like entities. You can gain them through a 200 day project, allowed only to have one at a time.
5) Your army is governed by a set of characters referred to as officers or captains. You start off with a General, a captain and a messenger. These characters are only the strength of a few troops and are unrecommended for combat until they're turned into a stronger unit. You may gain a new captain every 10,000 troops you gain.
6) To help your army are allies, other players you may form an alliance with to help with battles or units. You may have one ally.
